Wuoh finally an update!
It's been a while, but since I waited for Dominik's photos to include them here, I hope you will be able to forgive me. ^^
First things first:
Leipzig book fair this year was splendid! After last year's convention and cosplay desaster I was afraid that I would never get into cosplaying and con-going again. But heeeey here I am!
Everything was relaxed and I was in good mood, too. Awesome!
Last autumn I randomly bought a wig for Nami (One Piece) because 1. Nami's cool, 2. I adore ginger hair and 3. I secretely wanted to cosplay her.
Since I'm not that confident with my body at the moment I wanted to sew an outfit of hers which doesn't show that much of skin. So I decided to do the first version one gets to see in the anime. It was comfy, not too warm and therefore very fitting for a con-weekend.
When I lost some weight and regained some muscles, other cosplays of her will follow. Her hair colour suits me so much that ppl even suggested I should dye it like that... (still thinking of it, btw.)
Today I watched the 291st and 292nd episode, the special episodes where the strawhats and lots of earlier characters are set in a kind of Tokugawa-era town, wearing kimono and hakama and stuff. *_*" Someday... ohohoho.
Anyway, here are some pictures, Dominik took at LBM's sunday:

Finally I found the treasure chest (a little one, though.. gnah! xD)

Have to play it safe...

Yosh, got it! Some more Berry to free Kokoyashi Village!
Yay, onto another topic. Last Wednesday I had my re-exam in Japanese and passed it! Only 68% though.. seems I can't get better than 3.0 now. It's kinda sad, lol since I started with 1.X in the first and second semester. :(
(The worst is, that people in my class who can't even understand and react to our teachers Japanese questions most of the time passed the exam in the first round and with a better mark. Such things piss me off.)
Anyway... I'm relieved to see that I can read and understand lots of texts right now without looking up every second kanji.
I kind of failed in the listening comprehension task in the exam, though. When Sakai-sensei played the tape my brain just went blank. XD"
Have to work on that.
I also got an update for my internship plans in Okinawa.
Due to the earthquake and tsunami the jobs in the Tokyo area won't be available, but the Okinawa jobs are safe and sound. The Update said that the offers will be send out in the next few weeks. (Oh, how I hate "a few weeks", that could mean everything, seriously!)
The jobs start in June and I really, really hope that I'll get an offer.
My parents weren't that happy with my decision to go abroad now. A few days before the update was online, they suggested to finish my BA first and then later go to Japan/on an internship.
Hm... but since I need the internship anyway to get my BA and I won't get another chance to go work & travel, I have to leave now. Besides, university still pisses me off and I don't want to mess up my grades entirely. ^^"
So, I hope for the offer and then I will leave. Oh gosh, this would be so amazing. *_*"

Date: 2011-04-10 04:31 pm (UTC)From:and about the brows... maybe you can find a matching eyebrow pencil or whatever you used in these pictures. its maybe a little more work than simply dying them too, but it should pay off. then again I think there should be eyebrow dye in a matching colour available somewhere...
nah dude, I'll miss you when you'll be in Japan °__° then I'll have to put up with all the guys alone T_T well okay, except for Luise.
but I guess once your internship is over you won't have that many problems with all the university stuff anymore. learning by doing is always more effective and fun than learning by book. you can do it :'D

Date: 2011-04-12 06:25 pm (UTC)From:Haha, I guess I won't dye my hair. It took me so long to get to this white blond I don't want to mess it up. Just need some time to dye it again, since the hair line is pretty much visible right now. xD"
Yeah, this will suck big times.
I guess I'll feel home-sick a lot somehow.
But well it'll be only half a year, I guess we can cope with that. If the guys annoy you too much, I will spam your sessions per skype or anything. :D
Yep, I think so, too. Learning by doing is what I like the most, anyway.
